Educational Technology in Taipei

The Department of Education in Taipei, Taiwan has long recognized the importance of joining technology and education to create a more beneficial and proactive experience for students and teachers. 

Since 2019, the city of Taipei has been able to provide computers courses to students that create computer literacy and proficiency. Each school system has been guaranteed by the government at a minimum a 6:1 ratio between students and computers.  Classrooms utilize smart board projectors for a more advanced and interactive experience than traditional methods.

In later schooling students are offered the option to pursue more robust computer courses in programming and other multi-media applications.  This includes ensuring that teachers are well equipped to understand new innovations and how to utilize them for efficiency in communication.  I believe Taiwan has become a modern figurehead for implementing IT in education.  Taiwan's production ability combined with China's investment into the Taiwanese technology market will create a flourishing center of innovation.
